The main purpose of Growing crystals project is to provide the most detailed source of the information (handbook) about compounds used for growing crystals, their properties, methods of synthesis, peculiarities of growth and storage, process, and their theoretical foundations taking place where.
It is also contemplated that such information should be as accurate and objective. However, you can find there inaccurate or approximate data, based on experience, if more accurate data is not available in the reference books.

We are not Wikipedia
We are better than Wikipedia if we speak about information about crystals, as we allow the publication of reference data from other sites, incomplete data or original researches.
At the same time, we do not publish articles about politics, history, medicine, software and other themes that are posted on the pages of Wikipedia.
We are not geologist handbook
For a detailed description of the properties, characteristics, production locations and conditions of formation of minerals and rocks there are lost of sites like Mindat.org.
We only point out some analogues of minerals available for growing in the home or at the lab with links to further information.
We are not encyclopedia about poisons and explosives
The shape and properties of crystal compounds such as potassium cyanide or picric acid are interesting scientific data.
