Acetates - compounds of organic acetic acid CH3COOH. Most of acetates are soluble in water crystallines with slight acetic odor.

List of suitable for crystal growing acetates is presented below.

Few acetates couldn`t be grown as crystals

  • Cobalt(II) acetate - hydrolyzes during few days, solution becomes thicker to pink-red dough precipitate of cobalt hydroxide and hydroxycabronate
  • Magnesium acetate - solutions becomes thicker to syrup and never crystallizes.
