Description
Organic compound, polycyclic amine Doesn't form water hydrates.
Can be bought in hiking and travel shops (as "heat tab") and pharmacy (as "Hexamethylenetetramine" antiseptic).
In water solutions may form adducts with other compounds. Adduct crystals have different shapes and don't dehydrate as much.
Notes
Large solubility in water makes crystal growing quite hard, especially using slow evaporation method - a thick crust is rapidly formed, blocking the evaporation process.
